Dr. White awarded Crystalens CENTER OF EXCELLENCE.
Another award for Skyvision Centers, Dr. White! Darrell E. White, M.D. was recently given the Crystalens CENTER OF EXCELLENCE award presented by Bausch & Lomb. Dr. White was the first surgeon in the state of Ohio to implant the Crystalens accommodating intraocular lens. Skyvision Centers continues to be the leader in this technology here in northeast Ohio.
“What an honor!” said Dr. White. “The Crystalens represents a fantastic, revolutionary technology advancement in cataract surgery.” The Crystalens accommodating lens allows patients to have natural focusing for near and far and everything in between. Developed by Dr. Cummings in the 1990’s, the Crystalens was acquired by Bausch & Lomb in 2007. The Crystalens is a truly focusing lens which is used to replace either a cataract or the natural crystalline lens in patients who are having difficulty seeing at all distances without wearing glasses.
