What is a crystalens™?
Crystalens™ is the first and only accommodating lens in the U.S. It is the only accommodative lens technology approved as safe and effective by the FDA. The crystalens™ uses the natural focusing ability of the eye. The implant is made of a silicone-based material with hinges that allow for movement. The crystalens™ is an implant used to correct myopia, hyperopia, and presbyopia, so that your natural vision will be improved, reducing your dependency on glasses or contact lenses.

Why crystalens™?
Crystalens™ is designed to mimic the natural process of accommodation or near focusing. When looking at near objects, the lens changes shape and moves forward to focus images.

The Aging lens loses its ability to change shape causing a loss of accommodation called presbyopia. Reading glasses or bifocals become necessary.
